A game about everything, in order
Start with the Big Bang. Put two sparks together and the Pull comes out; keep going, and the stars, the seas, the first cell, bread, the printing press and a great deal more come out after it — every one of them because you made it.
On a phone, a tablet or a desk. Nothing to install and no account — your runs are kept in your browser.
How it plays
There is a ring of coins and a catalyst at its centre. Nothing ever joins by itself. You load a coin into the catalyst, reach out to the other coins it should react with, and let go — and if the recipe is right, something new is on the ring.
Each epoch is waiting for one thing to be made. Make it and time moves on: the ring widens, the coins change, and the next era begins. The universe is three minutes old by the end of the first act, and the story keeps going a very long way after that.
If the ring overflows you lose a life, never what you built. There are hints for when you are stuck — as many as you like on easy — and Level 0 teaches the whole thing in a couple of minutes.
Pick a coin from your hand. It lands in the catalyst already hot.
Or pull one in off the ring, then drag out and poke at each thing it should join.
Shove coins round the ring to bring partners together.
Two sets of drawings, one tap apart: simple pictures and simple names, or the scientific ones — an up quark, not a “red marble”.
From the game
Tap any coin and it tells you what it is and what it goes into. Every epoch opens with a card saying where you are and when.
